Attaching a Cord End - Style 1Materials
  • Chain or Cord
  • Cord End with a crimp center
Tools Tip: Use fine tipped chain nose pliers. Pliers with too large of a tip will squish more than the center area of the crimp end.

Step 1 Step 2 Step 3
Step 1
For this technique, we are using a 1mm cord end with a 0.7mm chain.
Step 2
Insert the chain into the cord end. The chain should almost come out of the other side of the cord end.
Step 3
With very fine tipped chain nose pliers, grasp the center "crimp" area of the cord end.
Step 4 Step 5
Step 4
Squeeze the center area of the cord end until it is flat and the chain is secured.
Step 5
Repeat for the second side of the cord or chain. The loops on the cord end can now be used to attach jump rings or clasps.
